Cobalt Violet Dark is a deep, granulating mineral violet with a reserved, slightly muted intensity. A true cobalt phosphate (PV14), it offers excellent lightfastness and a characteristic granulation that rewards textured, atmospheric washes. Semi-transparent and low-staining, it glazes beautifully and holds its own alongside stronger, more staining colours.
