Indigo
PBK6—Carbon / Gas Black. Synthetic (channel/gas black). A dense, very lightfast carbon black; slower drying than lamp black.
PB15.3—Phthalocyanine Blue (green shade). Synthetic organic. A stabilised green-shade phthalo blue; very strong and permanent.
PV19—Synthetic organic - quinacridone (violet crystal form). No Old Master could paint a permanent violet - quinacridone violet is a 20th-century gift, letting painters build luminous purples that will not fade. A modern, permanent violet - transparent and strong, ideal for glazes and lively tints.
Indigo is a multi-pigment Michael Harding watercolour made with PBk6, PB15.3, PV19.
It is transparent, good lightfastness, granulating, medium staining power, tinting strength 3.
