Rose Dore
PY97—Hansa Yellow. Synthetic organic. A bright, lightfast arylide yellow; cleaner than earlier hansa yellows.
PV19—Synthetic organic - quinacridone (violet crystal form). No Old Master could paint a permanent violet - quinacridone violet is a 20th-century gift, letting painters build luminous purples that will not fade. A modern, permanent violet - transparent and strong, ideal for glazes and lively tints.
Rose Dore is a multi-pigment Michael Harding watercolour made with PY97, PV19.
It is semi-transparent, excellent lightfastness, non-granulating, medium staining power, tinting strength 3.
